About the artist

​Rebecca Ahern​​​
I am a self taught abstract artist from Virginia. Ever since I was a little girl I immersed myself in all forms of creative activities. Whether it was crafting or drawing, my obsession grew for all things colorful. I discovered the enchanting magic created with the paintbrush, thanks to some amazing and inspiring art teachers. Moving around a lot I realized that my art is my expressive outlet where I can paint things that don't require any form of control, humanistic meaning, or interpretation. It's an escape from the real world where I can pour all of my passion, thoughts, and feelings. I haven't been able to put the brush down since. My mission is to create pieces that bring people joy and serenity in their home and help others, even just for a moment escape this noisy, imperfect world!

inspiration & style

Through usage of multiple types of mediums I have learned to express the energy of the universe into my paintings. Gold is commonly used throughout my artwork, adding a luxurious touch. My inspiration comes from the beauty of the ocean, rocks and geodes, and other formations found in nature while adding a modern twist to my pieces.
